Expecting Better by Emily Oster. The only book I read during my pregnancy.
I’m pretty simplistic, and under the belief that women have been giving birth and raising kids for millions of years – there’s no need to over complicate things and drown yourself in information, no need to psych yourself out. There is too much information out there, and it can be pretty overwhelming.
So let’s cut to the chase. What are the rules around pregnancy? Why am I finding conflicting information? Can I drink coffee? Wine? Sushi? How much? What is a recommendation, what is an absolute? And more importantly, what is the reasoning behind it all?
This is the only book I picked up during pregnancy. Check it out!
