Say hello to my Swiss cheese plant, also known as Monstera Adansonii.
This little guy is thriving on my windowsill. Its vines have gotten rather long a number of times, but wasn’t exactly climbing, so I’ve added tacks to the wall to help give it form, and I’ve also trimmed and propagated many times. People seem to get a thrill that it looks like Swiss cheese!
For you plant nerds, you may have heard of Monstera obliqua which is similar in style, but a different species. It is extremely rare, and chances are, you do not have an obliqua. Check the market, the prices on these babies are steep! Price aside, they are hard to come by. I read that it’s only been seen in the wild 17 times. Wow.
